About TIPS

Tucson Inferno Pride Softball, founded in 2023, is very proud to have restarted LGBTQ+ & Allies softball in Tucson. We are a program of the nonprofit PASS, Inc. Our mission is to provide adults with an opportunity to play softball in a safe non-discriminatory, supportive environment. We foster self‐confidence in athletics for a population that may have experienced ridicule or discrimination while participating in sports in their youth.

In 2023, TIPS sent an Open Division team to the Saguaro Cup in Phoenix in April and a women's team in September to San Diego for the ASANA (Amateur Sports Alliance of North America) national tournament. TIPS also joined with San Francisco to compete in the Gay Games in Guadalajara in November.

In 2024, TIPS folks:

  • Played on Open E team and Women's D team in Sin City Classic in Las Vegas in January.
  • Took 2nd place in Open E at the Desert Classic in Palm Springs (Feb 3-4).
  • Played in first Spring league (Feb-Apr) and Fall league (Sep-Nov).
  • Played on Open E team at Saguaro Cup in Phoenix (Apr 12-14).
